Corderbot is a little programmable robot usable by girls and boys of all ages. It has distance sensors, a microphone, and a speaker. It can move in space, make sounds and words, and recognize shapes and faces. It is programmed through visual language or, for the more experienced, through Python.
Designed by Roberto Previtera, in 2017 the University of Milano-Bicocca purchased the intellectual property to continue implementing its software and hardware.
This work still sees the collaboration of the maker Previtera, the RobotiCSS Lab (prof. Edoardo Datteri), and the Department of Information Systems and Communication (prof. Leonardo Mariani).
Coderbot is a free open-source project.
Instructions to assemble and program it are available online, as well as some educational activities for girls and boys.
